How to Throw a Party

Do you like hosting people in your home? I have always had a huge affinity for parties. Ever since I was little, birthday parties were like the coolest things to me. I would absolutely love getting invited over to my friends birthday parties and getting to keep all sorts of candy boxes and goody bags. As I have transitioned into my adult life, I have continued to really love hosting parties and gatherings. There is something about having people over in your space that is truly rewarding and enjoyable. Plus, everyone loves the guy that is willing to invite them over to their house and put on a night of entertainment for them. From my personal experience, throwing a party can be one of the most enjoyable experiences or one of the most stressful experiences. It is true that, while I love hosting people over at my place, it can be stressful to see people all up in your kitchen, living room, and bathroom all at the same time. I have definitely had moments of pure panic as I’ve watched a friend spill an entire glass of wine on my 4000 dollar living room couch. Why do I have a 4000 dollar couch in my living room? Because I’m very well off.

Well, if you are planning on throwing a party or hosting some sort of gathering at your place in the near future, then I am able to give you some tips and tricks that can help you throw a more successful party and can also alleviate some of the stress that you might feel. I’m here to help you throw an absolute banger of a party, and I know you can learn something in this article. The first thing you are going to want to think about is music. Now I use Spotify because I believe it is superior to every other form of music streaming software, but I guess this is more up to your discretion. Anyways, create a public playlist on Spotify (or whatever streaming service you use) and share it with your friends and family that will be invited to the party. Then people can put their own music that they want to hear on the playlist and there won’t be as much pressure on you to create a playlist that will suit everyone’s specific tastes and preferences.

Another big problem with throwing parties is that it can get pretty loud. If you live in some sort of apartment complex, this can become even more of an issue. I would suggest letting your neighbors know in advance that you will be having some people over and that it might get a little noisey. They’ll be way more tolerant of a little noise for sure!

The final tip I have for you is to find some people to stay afterwards to help you clean up. Even better if you can get everyone to help in, but it works best just to ask a few people in advance (maybe some of your closest friends) to stay and help you pick up abandoned drinks, cups, snacks, candy boxes, and other sorts of things. Way less work for you! And be sure to recycle things that can be recycled, like cardboard candy boxes or snacks trays, and definitely bottles or cans.
